The Time Map to Dinosaur Days
Grandma Noor raised her binoculars toward a small bird on the fence. “Look again, Sam,” she said, placing them gently in Sam’s hands. “See the feet. See the feathers. See how fast it turns its head.”
Sam squinted through the lenses. The bird’s toes curled tight on the wood. Its bright eye flashed. Its chest gave a quick puff. “Wait,” Sam said, lowering the binoculars. “You mean birds are dinosaurs?”
“The only dinosaur family still with us,” Grandma Noor said. Sam looked back, and wonder opened wide.
