By the time map stretching from the kitchen toward the garden, Sam knelt beside a rock sample and peered close. “I can see a tiny line!” said Grandma Noor. Ren pointed to the map and said, “Fossils can be bones, footprints, eggs, or even feathers.” Grandma Noor tapped the rock gently. “Sometimes rocks keep clues,” she said. “Then scientists compare those clues and fit them together like a puzzle.” Sam smiled. “So some rocks can tell very, very old stories.”
