The Whale Who Collected Tomorrows
The storm let go at last, and the tomorrows came drifting back down. They bobbed into hands, wings, and paws with soft plip-plip sounds, each one warmer than before.
Ori gave a happy hum as the little bells by the tail rang ting-ting. “Take them,” Ori called, circling low. “There’s enough hope for everyone now.”
Mira clutched hers and laughed, and even Grandpa Drift wiped his nose with a chuckle. Auntie Kelpseal patted Ori’s side and said, “That’s the funny thing about hope, dear. The more hearts it visits, the bigger it grows.”
