The Arrow Across the Fair

Story Synopsis

At a bustling Dushera fair filled with puppet shows, drums, sweet stalls, and a towering Ravana effigy, Vivaan is thrilled by the excitement while tiny Kavya is dazzled by every sound and color. When the siblings become separated from the best viewing spot just before the final ceremony, Vivek and Kiran lead them on a winding journey through the fair, where each stop reveals a different part of the Dushera story—Rama's courage, Sita's strength, Hanuman's devotion, and the triumph of truth over wrong. By the time the flaming arrow rises into the evening sky, the children understand that victory is not only something watched from afar, but something practiced in the choices people make every day. Tone: Adventure & Curiosity. Lead Character: Vivaan — an observant, energetic older brother who wants to see everything and learns to look more deeply.

Theme & Moral

“Truthfulness grows through everyday choices. Dussehra's message is not only about watching evil lose in a story, but about choosing what is honest and right in real life.”
